Abstract

Te article offers a description of the outcrop of the contact of red-colored Devonian deposits and basal conglomerates of problematic age on the outskirts of the Nahiriany village. Te lithological composition of the rocks was studied and the paleogeographic conditions of their formation were analyzed. Emphasis is placed on oblique relief in Devonian sandstones. Te hypothesis about the Albian age of the mentioned basal conglomerates is substantiated. Tis hypothesis needs additional confrmation during feld studies of faunal material. It is proposed to include the studied outcrop in the list of geological monuments of local importance.
