Abstract: We found out that transformational processes in education, caused by the present-day problems, globalization and thoughtlessness of miscellaneous societies, have necessitated application of progressive approaches which provide a transfer from a 'cognitive' to 'activity' teaching paradigm, based on the students' formation of communicative skills so that they can speak in different speech situations. According to the time requirements, we presented a linguistic, didactic system of macrotechniqueapplication of innovative approaches to teaching Ukrainian as a state language and mother tongue at school in order to change the value-semantic settings while working on speaking topics and to develop communicative skills in speaking and writing. Interaction of various aspects of language learning is based on classical approaches, namely, systematic and descriptive, functional, anthropocentric, general pedagogic, level-based, stylistic and psychologic. To effectively master the language, we offer a combination of competentive, individually-oriented, communication and activity, discourse text-centered and socio-cultural (linguo-conceptual) approaches based on interactive, creative and experimental teaching, using traditional and innovative forms, mini-technologies, methods, strategies, tactics, techniques and means; tests of varying difficulty and for different activities, tasks and exercises that are based on precedent texts of different types and genres of speech discourse, in which information and cognitive national matrix is embedded.
