Формування міжкультурної компетентності майбутніх фахівців соціальної роботи у вищих навчальних закладах США

Abstract

У дисертації досліджено особливості системи професійної підготовки соціальних працівників в США, визначено основні етапи її становлення, проаналізовано чинники, які зумовили розвиток професійної соціальної роботи і соціальної освіти. Встановлено, що на формування американської системи соціальної роботи і соціальної освіти значний вплив здійснила багатоманітність етносів, рас, культур, оскільки США – одна з найбільших багатонаціональних країн світу. З’ясовано важливу роль міжкультурної компетентності в структурі професійної компетентності фахівця соціальної роботи. Розкрито концептуальні засади підготовки соціальних працівників у вищій школі США (наукові підходи, принципи, теорії, моделі), які визначають зміст формування міжкультурної компетентності майбутніх фахівців в процесі полікультурної освіти. Виявлено специфіку формування міжкультурної компетентності фахівців соціальної роботи на різних освітніх рівнях. Охарактеризовано найбільш поширені методи, форми, засоби формування міжкультурної компетентності фахівців соціальної роботи. Обґрунтовано доцільність використання окремих ідей досвіду США в освітньому просторі України.

В диссертации исследованы особенности системы профессиональной подготовки социальных работников в США, определены основные этапы её становления, проанализированы факторы, которые обусловили развитие профессиональной социальной работы и социального образования. Установлено, что на формирование американской системы социальной работы и социального образования значительное воздействие имело наличие большого количества этносов, рас, культур. Выявлена важная роль межкультурной компетентности в структуре профессиональной компетентности специалиста социальной работы. Раскрыты концептуальные основы профессиональной подготовки социальных работников в высшей школе США (научные подходы, принципы, теории, модели), которые определяют содержание формирования межкультурной компетентности будущих социальных работников в процессе поликультурного образования. Выявлена специфика формирования межкультурной компетентности на разных образовательных уровнях. Охарактеризованы наиболее распространённые методы, формы, средства формирования межкультурной компетентности социальных работников. Обоснована целесообразность использования отдельных идей опыта США в образовательном пространстве Украины.

In the dissertation the features of the training of social workers in the United States are investigated, the main stages of its formation: the empirical (late XIX - early XX century), theoretical and empirical (the beginning of the XX century - 1920) the professionalization (1920 - today) - the formation of a modern system of training. The Historical stages of social work and Professional Education System of social workers in the United States characterized the relevant socio-economic context, the level of theoretical knowledge, valuable settings and practices of social assistance and social workers. The factors that led to the development of professional social work and social education in the United States were analyzed. It was established that the formation of the American system of social work and social education has made a significant impact the variety ethnic groups, races, cultures. The peculiarity of the USA as a multicultural country actualizes the problem of social work with people of different cultural groups, which refers to a set of purposeful integrated actions for social services, organizations, institutions and agencies, social workers and other specialists who provide customers with certain types of social support within programs or social services by using various methods and forms of social work. It was shown the important role of intercultural competence in the structure of professional competence of specialists in social work, i.e. knowledge and skills that can properly evaluate the specific conditions and interactions, relationships and communication with other cultures that appear in identity of their traditions, habits and psychological qualities and find appropriate forms of influence on them to maintain an atmosphere of mutual trust and constructive cooperation to achieve jointly certain goals of social assistance. The components of intercultural competence are: affective - the ethics and values of the profession, awareness of their own cultural attitudes and beliefs, intercultural tolerance; cognitive - cross-cultural knowledge, understanding and awareness of cultural differences in outlook resulting from different socio-cultural groups, language of the client; procedural - skills in social work with representatives of different ethnic and cultural groups. There was revealed the conceptual foundations for social workers in the USA higher education (scientific approaches, principles, theories, models) that define the content of forming intercultural competence of specialists. The study found that important in the training of future social workers is to work with people of different cultural groups in realization of multicultural approach that facilitates the assimilation of students knowledge about other cultures, understanding of general and special about the traditions, way of life, people culture values, educating youth in the spirit of respect for systems of other cultures. The formation of intercultural competence of future social workers is provided in the process of multicultural education in American higher school. Four main approaches are known for the integration of intercultural component to the context of educational programs: the additive approach; the transformation approach; the social action approach. Training of social workers in the United States noted the flexibility and represents a differentiated, multilevel system that includes: a basic university degree (bachelor), master's degree and doctoral studies. The study discovered that university education can precede the initial level of training. The most common methods, forms and means of forming intercultural competence and ability to work in multicultural society of future social workers were characterized. The necessity of using some ideas of the USA experience in the educational space of Ukraine was underlined.
