І. В. Історія Київської митрополії упродовж 1051–1686 рр.

Abstract

У бакалаврській роботі досліджено історичний розвиток Київської митрополії упродовж 1051–1686 рр. у ширшому контексті релігійних і політичних процесів у Східній Європі. У дослідженні аналізується формування церковної ієрархії, роль митрополії як релігійного та культурного центру, а також її пристосування до умов політичної роздробленості та іноземного панування. Особлива увагу відведено ключовим поворотним моментам, зокрема призначенню митрополита Іларіона, впливу монгольського навали, Брестській унії 1596 р. та відновленню православної ієрархії 1620 р. Дослідження також вивчає процес, що призвів до підпорядкування Київської митрополії Московському патріархату 1686 р. Проаналізовано взаємозв’язок церковних структур, політичної влади та культурного розвитку, що підкреслює значення Київської митрополії у формуванні релігійної ідентичності та історичної свідомості у Східній Європі.

The bachelor’s thesis examines the historical development of the Kyiv Metropolitanate during 1051–1686 within the broader context of religious and political processes in Eastern Europe. The study analyzes the formation of the ecclesiastical hierarchy, the role of the Metropolitanate as a religious and cultural center, and its adaptation to conditions of political fragmentation and foreign domination. Particular attention is given to key turning points, including the appointment of Metropolitan Ilarion, the impact of the Mongol invasion, the Union of Brest in 1596, and the restoration of the Orthodox hierarchy in 1620. The research also explores the process that led to the subordination of the Kyiv Metropolitanate to the Moscow Patriarchate in 1686. It examines the interconnection between ecclesiastical structures, political authority, and cultural development, highlighting the significance of the Kyiv Metropolitanate in shaping religious identity and historical consciousness in Eastern Europ.
