| Abstract: | The article contains an analysis of the problems of physical and geographical zoning, its correlation with landscape science and its place in the system of natural geographical sciences. The principles, methods and main taxonomic units of continental zoning are shown. The schemes of physical and geographical countries on the territory of each continent serve as a basis for the study of environmental problems and nature protection at the regional level. The practical, scientific and general educational significance of zoning is emphasized. |
