Стратегії синхронного перекладу розважального телепроєкту

Abstract

У статті піднімаються питання дефініції поняття «стратегії синхронного перекладу» та аналізуються основні підходи до визначення особливостей їх використання. Окремо розмежовуються поняття «стратегія», «прийом» та «тактика» перекладу. Розважальний сегмент зайняв домінантну нішу сучасного телебачення, що забезпечило прямий потік залучення іноземних практик та досвіду у сфері теледискурсу. У просторі україн- ських телепроєктів з’явились приклади не тільки існування усного англійського мовлення, але й його синхронного перекладу. Це дозволило дослідити процеси відтворення усного англійського мовлення засобами української мови крізь призму стратегічного обрамлення. У статті розглянуто особливості використання стратегії компресії (стиснення тексту оригіналу та його лаконічне оформлення), столлінгу (зменшення кількості пауз та незруч- них моментів під час перекладу), лінійності (логічний виклад перекладу) та очікування (отримання контексту, який для певної ситуації вважатимемо додатковим). Дослідження умов застосування цих стратегій дозволило сформулювати загальні риси ідіостилю перекладача та проаналізувати їх взаємодію зважаючи на прагнення наблизитись до найбільш вдалого варіанту перекладу. Стратегії синхронного перекладу передбачають вирішен- ня спонтанних проблем та короткочасних задач з огляду на довгострокову перспективу, тому наведені у статті приклади ведуть до загальних висновківчерез детальний оглядприйомів перекладу на різних рівнях: морфологіч- ному, лексичному, синтаксичному та стилістичному. Основною складовою компетенції професіонала є вміння застосовувати стратегії перекладу на практиці з комплексним розуміння факторів впливу на вибір стратегії. Особливості синхронного перекладу як виду перекладацької діяльності визначають більшу частину чинників, що формують вектор руху перекладача. Серед таких факторів виділяють як лінгвістичні, так і екстралінгвістичні.

The article raises the question of the definition of the concept of «simultaneous translation strategies» and analyzes the main approaches to determining the specifics of their use. The concepts of «strategy», «method» and «tactics» of translation are separately distinguished. The entertainment segment occupies a dominant part of modern television, which ensured a direct flow of foreign practices and experience in the field of television discourse. The examples of spoken English already exist in Ukrainian television programs as well as their simultaneous interpretation. It is possible to investigate the processes of reproduction of spoken English using the Ukrainian language through the prism of strategic framing. The article examines the features of the strategy of compression (compression of the original text), stalling (reducing the number of pauses and awkward moments during translation), linearity (logical translation), and waiting ( waiting for a context that we consider additional for a certain situation). The study of the conditions of application of these strategies made it possible to formulate the general features of the translator’s idiostyle and analyze the interaction of these strategies, taking into account the desire to get closer to the most successful version of the translation. Simultaneous translation strategies involve solving spontaneous problems and short-term problems with a long-term perspective, so the examples given in the article lead to general conclusions through a detailed review of translation techniques at different levels: morphological, lexical, syntactic and stylistic. The main component of a professional’s competence is the ability to apply translation strategies in practice with a comprehensive understanding of factors influencing the choice of strategy. Peculiarities of simultaneous translation as a type of translation activity determine most of the factors that shape the vector of the translator’s movement. Among such factors, both linguistic and extralinguistic factors are distinguished.
