Порівняльний аналіз перекладів політичної промови

Abstract

Стаття присвячена порівняльному аналізу основних процесів перекладу політичної промови з англійської мови на українську. Увагу зосереджено на вивченні та порівнянні різних стратегій перекладу, взявши за основу промову Президента України. Висвітлені лексичні та синтаксичні трансформації, що спостерігаються у письмових та синхронних перекладах. Їх аналіз вказує на важливі аспекти вибору оптимальних перекладацьких рішень для точності передачі не лише лексичного, а й концептуального змісту оригіналу. Мета статті – полягає в аналізі особливостей перекладу політичних промов з метою визначення впливу мовних контекстів на точність та ефективність передачі змісту. Задля досягнення мети потрібно вирішити такі завдання: 1) дослідити особливості політичної промови як лінгвістичного явища; 2) провести порівняльний аналіз письмового та синхронного перекладів; 3) здійснити порівняльний аналіз двох варіантів синхронного переклад; 4) оцінити ступінь відповідності цих перекладів оригіналу та 6)визначити найпоширеніші причини використання конкретних прийомів перекладу політичної промови. Новизна полягає у спробі вперше дослідити варіативність перекладів політичної промови Президента Україна на світовому майданчику через їх порівняльний аналіз. Дослідницький підхід статті зосереджено на виявленні та розгляді різниць у стратегіях перекладу, особливо враховуючи вплив структурних аспектів мови на результат. Висновки. Виділено ключові моменти, які розрізняють письмовий переклад від синхронного, враховуючи особливості часового обмеження та вимоги збереження структурованості в усному перекладі. Головною ознакою наведених прикладів є спроба перекладача лінійно передати зміст перекладу, адже слухачі сприймають текст лише раз на слух та не мають можливості перечитати. Аналіз обраної промови, зокрема у контексті вибору лексичних одиниць та структури речень, дозволяє зрозуміти важливість вибору відповідних стратегій для максимально точного відтворення смислового навантаження та інтенцій автора промови. Із аналізу можна зрозуміти спектр викликів, які стоять перед перекладачем політичних промов, і визначити оптимальний підхід для кожного конкретного випадку.

The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the main processes of translating political speech from English into Ukrainian. Attention is focused on studying and comparing different translation strategies, based on the speech of the president of Ukraine. Lexical and syntactic transformations observed in written and simultaneous translations are highlighted. Their analysis indicates important aspects of choosing optimal translation solutions for the accuracy of transmitting not only the lexical, but also the conceptual content of the original. The purpose of the study is to analyze the peculiarities of translating political speeches in order to determine the influence of language contexts on the accuracy and effectiveness of content transmission. To achieve this goal, we need to solve the following tasks: 1) to investigate the peculiarities of political speech as a linguistic phenomenon; 2) to conduct a comparative analysis of written and simultaneous translations; 3) to carry out a comparative analysis of two variants of simultaneous translation; 4) to assess the degree of compliance of these translations with the original and 6) to determine the most common reasons for using specific methods of political speech translation. Novelty is determined by an attempt to study the variability of translations of the political speech of the president of Ukraine on the world platform through its comparative analysis. The research approach of the article focuses on identifying and considering differences in translation strategies, especially considering the impact of the structure of the sentence. Conclusions. The key points that distinguish written translation from simultaneous translation are highlighted. We take into account he peculiarities of time constraints and the requirements for maintaining structure in interpretation. The main feature of these examples is the translator’s attempt to convey the content of the translation linearly, because listeners perceive the text by ear only once and do not have the opportunity to reread it. Analysis of the chosen speech, in particular in the context of the choice of lexical units and sentence structure, allows us to understand the importance of choosing appropriate strategies for the most accurate reproduction of the semantic load and intentions of the author of the speech. From the analysis, you can understand the range of the challenges the translator of political speeches has to face while determining the best approach for each specific case.
