Studia muzykologiczne na uniwersytetach we Lwowie i Krakowie w latach 1911-2023

Abstract

The knowledge of the genesis and functioning of the Cracow and Lviv schools of musicology in che ńrst half of the 20th century is essential, and the development of new events in the whole of southern Ukrainę reąuires the most extensive history. It should be acknowledged that in the literaturę special attention is paid to the specifics of genesis and the development of the relevant components of educational institutions. This quest has also been insufficiently studied in the works of scientific musicologists, both Ukrainian and foreign. This is not only due to the discovery and analysis of new documentary and factual materials, but also the annoying .:k of regular cooperation of musicological centers in Kraków and Lviv on the basis of scientif- and didactic positions in the district, but also with the lack of theoretical understanding of the concept of Jagiellonianism, which gave rise to the phenomenon of the University of Cracow and the historically related Lviv University.
