Теоретичні засади фізико-географічного (ландшафт- Ного) районування суходільної поверхні землі

Abstract

This article is dedicated to theoretical principles of physiographycal (landscape) zoning of land. Main approaches to zoning and system of taxonomic levels have been considered. A regional approach based on genetic principles as the most respective to regional physical geography is considered as a foundation. Main criteria of zoning such as spatial, temporal, geostructural, morphologycal features have been highlighted. We suggest to divide the Earth surface into land and sea, the former – into zones of ocean crust and continental crust, which in it’s turn – into continents, subcontinents, landscape countries, territories, districts and regions.
