Лексика сфери освіти: погляд на нові запозичення

Abstract

У статті розглянуто проблему невмотивованого впровадження в мовлення іншомовних слів. Вказано, що нині існують альтернативні до «офіційної» науки проекти, які засвідчують небайдуже ставлення до засилля запозичень в українській мові. На основі ресурсів сайту Словотвір виокремлено ряд найновіших англіцизмів сфери освіти (гоумскулер, гоумскулінг, кампус, креш-курс, скіл, стейкхолдер, т’ютор), окреслено їх значення, мотивовано доцільність добору українських відповідників. Встановлено, що ця доцільність бере за основу критичну оцінку. Наголошено, що мова має достатньо можливостей, аби протистояти невмотивованим запозиченням, використовуючи синонімічне багатство, ресурси пасивної лексики, словотвірні засоби тощо.

The article draws attention to the problem of unmotivated use of borrowings into speech. It is pointed out that there are now alternative to «official» science projects that attest to the concerned attitude to the dominance of «aliens» in the Ukrainian language. This article highlights a number of the latest borrowings from English in the field of education based on the website Slovotvir («houmskuler» from home schooler, «houmskulinh» from home schooling, «kampus» from campus, «kresh-kurs» from crash course, «skil» from skill, «steikkholder» from stakeholder, «tiutor» from tutor), outlines their meaning, explains the expediency of selecting Ukrainian correspondents by means of critical evaluation. It is emphasized that the dominance of foreign words lies not in the lack of ability of the Ukrainian language to perform the nominative function, but mostly in the intensity of information flow, which influences borrowings of the phenomena and processes nomination from English as global language. The article concludes that the invasion of English loan words can be resisted in one of the conventional ways: to use one o f the words from the synonymous chains, or passive vocabulary words, which can be used to call the phenomena, features, or actions that have a «new dimension»; to expand the meaning of the existing words; to coin new words on the basis of native Ukrainian roots according to the usual word-formation types; to caique words and phrases etc.
