| Abstract: | The article is dedicated to the modal characteristics of the German language, in particular to the modal features of the sentence of "unreal wish". It was ascertained on the basis of examples, that the sentence of "unreal wish” belongs to the field of the optative modality and denominates low probability of the realization of the desirable event. |
