| Abstract: | The article presents a retrospective analysis of changes in the area of green spaces in the city of Ternopil over the past 23 years. It is determined that in the settlement there is a tendency to reduce the area of green plantations. In less than half a century the city lost about 300 hectares of green areas. The greening index has decreased by 23%, and today it is about 17%. To provide normative greening of the forest park part of the complex green zone of the city of Ternopil, more than 1000 hectares of green plantations are needed. The urboekosystem needs to increase the green potential for sustainable development and ecologically safe functioning. |
