Оцінка декоративності видів та форм роду THUJA L. у Кременецькому ботанічному саду

Abstract

Наведено результати вивчення декоративних якостей 3 видів та 13 форм роду Thuja із колекції Кременецького ботанічного саду. Виявлено 4 високодекоративних, 11 декоративних та 1 середньодекоративний таксони. Подано рекомендації до використання досліджених видів та форм у таких категоріях садово-паркових насаджень, як солітери, групові та алейні посадки, куліси та екрани, бордюри, боскети, фігурні вироби, кам’янисті гірки, садові вази.

The perspective plants for landscaping of the urban areas are the species and forms of the genus Thuja L., as those characterized by high decorative qualities and relative resistance to disease and pests. The article presents the results of studying the decorativeness of the forms of Th. occidentalis L., Th. plicata D.Don. and Th. standishii (Gord.) Carr. from the Kremenets Botanical Garden’s collection. When evaluating the decorative qualities of the under investigation taxons, the decorativeness period, crown architectonics, needle colouring in summer and winter periods, cones’ decorativeness, relative damaging by the diseases and pests and the aroma have been taken into account. 4 highly decorative (Th. occidentalis 'Columna', Th. occidentalis 'Lutea', Th. occidentalis 'Lutescens' та Th. plicata 'Zebrina'), 11 decorative (Th. occidentalis та її форми 'Holmstrup', 'Hosseri', 'Aurea', 'Cristata', 'Ericoides Aurea', 'Globosa', 'Globosa Nana', 'Elegantissima', Th. standishii, Th. plicata) and 1 medium decorative taxons (Th. occidentalis 'Ericoides') have been revealed in the result of the investigation. The recommendations for using the under investigation species and forms in the categories of garden and park plantations such as tapeworms, group and alley plantings, backdrops and screens, borders, baskets, curly goods, rocky hills, garden vases have been given.
