The scientists D. Cole, A. Churchward, M. Hall, N. Chmykhov, V. Yurkovets, О. Gurstein put forward the hypothesis that the spiritual development of mankind in displayed in cosmic cycles. Тhe main religious ideas of each historical period are reflected in the characteristic of the zodiac sign dominating in this period, under which the point of intersection of the ecliptic and the equator is the point of the vernal equinox passes. According to O. Gurstein, “... a zodiac is a system of symbols that reflect the thoughts and images of people in the periods of their introduction into everyday life”. The axis of the Earth rotation changes its place under the influence of the gravitational action of the attraction of the Moon and the Sun. The heavenly equator that has a perpendicular position changes its place together with it by the plane of the ecliptic. Therefore, the point of intersection of the heavenly equator with the ecliptic also moves. For 2150–2160 years it passes 30 degrees of ecliptic, that is, one sign of the zodiacal circle and passes the other one. This sign of zodiac is considered to be a dominant one. The ancient astronomers associated a set of concepts, principles and ideas that corresponded with the main religious ideas of that period with each zodiac sign. The question whether the characteristics of the dominant zodiacal signs correspond to the main cults in the earlier periods of primitive history (prior to the emergence of astronomy) remains open. The aim of the article is to determine the time of emergence of religious ideas about the creation of the world and the man, associated with the awareness of the value of the couple, and to compare the dominant sign of the zodiac at that time. In the process of research it was found that the image of the pairs of animals, humans and terianthropes (in Shove Caves, Term Piala, Lossel, in the settlement of Mala Siya) appeared at the beginning of the Upper Paleolithic. An important reason for such a fact was the transition to dual-tribal communities, which consisted of two exogamous genera or two phratries. The couple became one of the dominant concepts in the minds of the Paleolithic man and was conceived as the main factor in the continuation of life. The primitive man not only realized the importance of couples for childbearing, but also moved the dual principle of the creation of the world. The male buffalo and the female lioness, depicted in the Shove cave, are copulated to conceive an ancestor-totem. An eagle and a tortoise, depicted on the stone of the Malaya Sia site, as a zoomorphic image of the upper and lower zones of the cosmos (the sky and the earth), come together to create the universe. The notion of the duality of being, the binary model of the universe and the dual principle of creation of the world arose in the 33–31 millennium BC during the time of our planet’s stay under the sign of the zodiac Glints, positioning the principle of parity. The main religious ideas were reflected in the characteristic of the dominant zodiac sign before the emergence of the astronomy. Consequently, this phenomenon can be regarded as a consequence of the action of not the human mind, but of the higher action (God’s Providence). Such a conclusion does not contradict to the modern post-non-classical interpretation of the history of mankind. According to it, the world historical process is diversified into many different manifestations, but it is a holistic one, total. Such an interpretation of the history of mankind is closely connected with the monadological concept. The key word “monad” means in it God, reason, the principle of all things, the cause of the unity of history. The perspectives in this direction are studies that relate to religious representations of the subsequent periods of human development and their reflection in the characteristics of the dominant signs of the zodiac. This will allow a new way to consider the spiritual evolution of mankind, to determine its main stages. Each of them coincides in time with the transition of the Earth to the new sign of the zodiac. His characteristic corresponds to the basic religious and ideological ideas of his time.
