Комп’ютерна графіка у сучасній книжковій ілюстрації: проблеми техніки та стилю

Abstract

У статті досліджено сучасну книжкову ілюстрацію та особливості її виконання з використанням комп’ютерної графіки. Розглянуто питання технічних особливостей роботи з комп’ютерною графікою, зокрема закцентовано увагу на сучасній тенденції нефотореалістичної візуалізації в ілюструванні та пошуку унікальної авторської мови.

В статье исследовано современную книжную иллюстрацию и особенности ее исполнения с использованием компьютерной графики. Рассмотрено вопросы технических особенностей работы с компьютерной графикой. Особое внимание уделяется современной тенденции нефотореалистической визуализации в иллюстрировании, а также поиске уникального авторского графического языка.

The development of computer technology has become an essential factor that influenced the development of innovation in book design and book illustrations particular. In most countries, the book design appear uniform standards and common requirements for quality and aesthetic level, however, the question of creative style and unique author’s language as a means of identification in the context of the global world is very important. Actuality caused by the need of generalization of computer graphics possibilities in illustrations and substantiated by searching the author’s graphic language and style. The article examines the modern book illustration and especially its computer graphics implementation. Also it considers the issue of works technical features with computer graphics, in particular, focuses on modern trends of Non-Photorealictic Rendering (NPR) illustrations and search of the author’s unique language. The purpose of the article is to identify the characteristic features of computer graphics as a specific type of fine art, to discover the technological aspects of book illustration using computer technology and search author describe features of language and style in a computer illustration in the context of modern Non-Photorealictic Renderings trends. The main objective of NPR is combining beauty and emotion of the traditional fine arts with the speed and flexibility of computer graphics. NPR- illustrates have synthesis of brightness and color saturation characteristic of computer graphics and materiality and expression inherent in traditional artistic techniques. These illustrations do not require additional processing ( digitization, cleaning), which are subject of manually created pictures. Computer graphics opens many opportunities for artist. Speed, tools, huge color palette, using textures, filters and effects, the ability to maintain and refine the image in various stages of creation, change the lighting, color, failed to cancel steps create a very comfortable environment for creativity.
