Педагогічні умови формування толерантності майбутніх перекладачів у процесі професійної підготовки

Abstract

Дисертація на здобуття наукового ступеня кандидата педагогічних наук за спеціальністю 13.00.04 – теорія і методика професійної освіти. – Тернопільський національний педагогічний університет імені Володимира Гнатюка, Міністерство освіти і науки України. – Тернопіль, 2014. Дисертація є теоретико-експериментальним дослідженням проблеми формування толерантності у процесі професійної підготовки перекладачів. У дослідженні з’ясовано сутність і компоненти толерантності майбутніх перекладачів. Конкретизовано критерії та показники рівнів сформованості толерантності майбутніх перекладачів. Обґрунтовано й експериментально перевірено педагогічні умови (реалізація діалогового підходу в процесі професійної підготовки, спрямованого на конструктивну взаємодію; розвиток емпатії у майбутніх перекладачів як фактора підвищення мотивації до вияву толерантності; використання інноваційних технологій на заняттях із профільних дисциплін, спрямованих на рефлексійний вияв толерантності) та модель формування толерантності майбутніх перекладачів.

Диссертация является теоретико-экспериментальным исследованием проблемы формирования толерантности в процессе профессиональной подготовки переводчиков. В работе определена сущность и компоненты толерантности будущих переводчиков. Конкретизированы критерии и показатели уровней сформированности толерантности будущих переводчиков. Обоснованы и экспериментально проверены педагогические условия (реализация диалогового подхода в процессе профессиональной подготовки, направленного на конструктивное взаимодействие; развитие эмпатии у будущих переводчиков как фактора повышения мотивации к проявлению толерантности; использование инновационных технологий на занятиях по профильным дисциплинам, направленных на рефлексивное проявление толерантности) и модель формирования толерантности будущих переводчиков.

The thesis for a Candidate Degree in Pedagogical Sciences. The thesis is a theoretical and experimental research of the future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance development in the process of professional training. The actuality of the investigation is caused by the contradictions between constant growing of intensive information exchange among the representatives of different countries and the future interpreters’ / translators’ levels of readiness for its provision on tolerance basis, the realized necessity of future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance development and lack of attention to this problem from the subjects of educational process; need of scientific, methodic and informational provision of the process of future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance development and its insufficient elaboration in theory and practice of professional education. The notion of tolerance is studied by means of transdisciplinary approach. Based on the analysis of the scientific sources, future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance is defined as an integral part of interpreters’ / translators’ competence which manifests itself in readiness and willingness to accept and also interpret or translate adequately from the source language into the target language the utterances of other people regardless their complexion, origin, sex, orientation, age, level of education, mentality, social status, political views, religious and culture even in the situations when something which was said by them doesn’t coincide or even confronts with interpreters’ / translators’ views. For deeper understanding of the investigating phenomena types of future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance are distinguished and classified (according to personal and biological; cultural and religious; social and economic characteristics) and functional peculiarities (educational, regulative, evaluative and prognostic, psychological, adaptive, motivational, cultural keeping, peacekeeping or integrative, communicative, creative, endurance and unjoyful) are described. Future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance has three components (cognitive, emotional and valuable, behavioural) which meet certain criteria (informatory and knowledgeable, evaluative and emotional, behavioural) and indices (acquiring knowledge about tolerance; understanding the essence of tolerance; realizing diversity in appearances, views etc. all over the world; knowledge of rights to be individual and different; aiming for building tolerant relationship with others; readiness to a dialogue; ability to show empathy; treating tolerance as a value; choosing peaceful equivalents in the process of translation and interpreting; ability to restrain personal emotions, thoughts during translation and interpreting processes without permitting personal views interfere with speaker’s words; having cultural quality). For effective future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance development pedagogical conditions (realization of dialogue approach in the process of professional training aiming for evidence-based cooperation; future interpreters’ / translators’ empathy development as a factor of rising motivation to exercising tolerance; using innovative technologies during the classes on field-specific subjects aiming for reflective exercising of tolerance) were chosen. The author also offers the model of the process of future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance development which consists of four units: target (aim and tasks), conceptual (components of future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance, educational principles and subjects), technological (technologies, forms and equipment of studying) and evaluative-resultant (criteria, indices and levels of future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance development, result). The results of the experiment proved the effectiveness of pedagogical conditions and model of future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance development. Dynamics of the levels of future interpreters’ / translators’ tolerance components in experimental group is the result of specially designed and practically realized training. Theoretically reasoned and put into practice pedagogical conditions among the members of experimental group are necessary for reaching the goal and tasks of the thesis.
