Abstract

The article indicates the classification of the areas of activity of national Olympic academies of different countries of the world. One of the important areas of activity of the International Olympic Committee and National Olympic Committees is the propaganda of the ideas of Olympism, the popularization of knowledge about the Olympic movement, the history of the Olympic Games of ancient Greece and modern times; an organic combination of educational and educational tasks of raising children and youth in the process of physical education. In the structure of the Olympic movement at the international level, the implementation of programs of Olympic education of youth in the spirit of the ideas of Olympism is entrusted to the International Olympic Academy, National Olympic Academies, National Federations of sports, educational institutions of all levels and other organizations. Despite the existing publications, the issue of studying the classification of areas of activity of national Olympic academies of different countries of the world remains a relevant issue of scientific research and a practically significant problem.
