Модус національного у художній структурі роману–хроніки Валерія Шевчука "Тіні зникомі"

Abstract

Дисертація на здобуття наукового ступеня кандидата філологічних наук зі спеціальності 10.01.01 – українська література. – Тернопільський національний педагогічний університет імені Володимира Гнатюка Міністерства освіти і науки України. – Тернопіль, 2013. У дисертації в контексті світоглядних орієнтацій Валерія Шевчука з’ясовано естетичну ґенезу модусу національного, досліджено історико-політичну, суспільно-культурологічну й естетичну основу роману-хроніки «Тіні зникомі» у типологічному зіставленні з «Історією Русів», обґрунтовано актуальність проблематики роману, новаторство філософсько-естетичної концепції національного, еволюцію трактування її автором, окреслено нові теоретико-аналітичні підходи до аналізу твору. Досліджено характер художньої експлікації модусу національного в загальній ідейно-естетичній стратегії автора та парадигмі сучасних суспільних викликів, проведено інтертекстуальне порівняння наукового й естетичного рівнів модусу національного в дискурсі барокових, фольклорних впливів. Розкрито жанрово-композиційні інваріанти та місце роману-хроніки «Тіні зникомі» в контексті доробку Валерія Шевчука. До аналізу залучено есеї письменника «На березі часу», «На вступі до Храму».

В диссертации в контексте мировоззренческих ориентаций Валерия Шевчука выяснено эстетический генезис модуса национального, исследованы историко-политическая, общественно-культурологическая и эстетическая основа романа-хроники «Тени исчезающие» в типологическом сопоставлении с «Историей Русов», обосновано актуальность проблематики романа, новаторство философско-эстетической концепции национального, эволюция трактовки ее автором, очерчены новые теоретико-аналитические подходы к трактовке произведения. Исследованы характер художественной экспликации модуса национального в общей идейно-эстетической стратегии автора и парадигме современных общественных вызовов, проведены интертекстуальные сравнения научного и эстетического уровней модуса национального в дискурсе барочных, фольклорных влияний. Раскрыты жанрово-композиционные инварианты и место романа-хроники «Тени исчезающие» в контексте наследия Валерия Шевчука. К анализу привлечены эссе писателя «На берегу времени», «На входе в Храм».

The thesis is devoted to the study of artistic structure of the novel-chronicle by Valery Shevchuk «The Fading-away Shadows» in the mode of the national paradigm. The paper substantiates the relevance of ideological and aesthetic functioning of the national mode in the context of the national artistic heritage of the writer and the problems of modern times, outlines a national basis of the author’s aesthetic world. The political pamphlet «The History of the Ruses» and the novel-chronicle have been typologically paralleled, the historical, political, socio-cultural basis of works have been examined, intertextual comparison of scientific and aesthetic invariants of national mode in the novel and the political pamphlet has been performed. Among others, the stress has been laid on the presence of the concept of the national throughout the semantic space of the novel. It was found that the philosophical foundations of national mode in the novel-chronicle have the world-view of Ukrainian ethnos as their background. It is proved that the author put his own research of the little-known period of the emergence of a new Ukrainian Renaissance in the late eighteenth century into the historical basis of the novel, in the context of which «The History of the Ruses» arose. The aesthetic strategies of the autothematizm in the novel, their ways of narration have been determined. The autobiographical method, present in the novel-chronicle, has been characterised. It is proved that Theodosius Temnytskyy, whom V. Shevchuk delegated to the author of «The History of Ruses» does not act only as a mouthpiece of the writer’s ideas in the novel-chronicle, but also is a kind of port-password; the author and the character are almost the whole of distinct parallels. Mental and existential aspects of Ukrainian Eidos problems have been analyzed, including problems of historical memory, intellectuals and people, human existence. Attention is focused on the problem of preserving the national memory which is appeared to be a national, tribal and personal category. The importance of the problem of ethnicity existence as a philosophical category has been emphasized. Mythological images, symbols, motifs in the dichotomy of modern and past eras, archetypical thinking of the artist in a variety of subjects, situations, types have been analyzed, their modifications on the structural and semantic levels have been found. The writer’s genre searches have been traced, it has been proved that «The Fading-away Shadows» is a historical novel-chronicle. The study found that the work is multifaceted, multidimensional, it has a complex internal and external structure in which metaphysical and real, present, past and pluperfect are harmoniously cohered. The novel-chronicle «The Fading-away Shadows» first became the object of a comprehensive analysis in discourse of baroque, folk influences and the paradigm of world culture as an important component of Modern Art, which designs options and features of its development. It has been investigated that the Baroque style affected the aesthetics of the work, being originally transformed ideologically and thematically, but retaining its deep aesthetic properties. It is shown the values of the elements of bookish culture of the novel in relation to the national, including Baroque traditions. It is shown that the ideological genesis of the novel-chronicle includes spiritual history of Ukrainians for several hundreds years, biblical universal moral maxims, anthropocentric philosophy of baroque concerning a man’s search of the Absolute, G. Skovoroda’s views of self-knowledge as the path to the Absolute. Metaphor of the novel has been investigated, its role in the expressing worldview and aesthetic concepts of the writer has been determined. Wide range and multidimensional associative metaphors are metaphorical comparisons, allegories, metaphors-pictures, metaphors-dreams, reminiscence of biblical maxims, mythical images. It has been found that one of the most representational features of idiostyle of the novel-chronicle is the use of signs of bookish culture that define its innovative trans-genre character.
