Творча постать Уласа Самчука в оцінці професора Романа Гром’яка

Abstract

У статті крізь призму літературно-критичних оцінок професора Р. Гром’яка проаналізовано літературні здобутки Уласа Самчука під оглядом змісту, форми й поетики. Представлено критичну рецепцію вченоготворчості У. Самчука, акцентовано увагу дослідника до жанру роману-епопеї в художній спадщині талановитого українського прозаїка ХХ століття. Детально з’ясовано характер наукової діяльності та зміст праць професора Р. Гром’яка, зорієнтованих на вивчення, популяризацію та включення до національного канону імені письменника Уласа Самчука – ключової фігури українського «двоколійного» літературного процесу минулого століття.

The article analyzes the literary achievements of UlasSamchuk from the point of view of their content, form and poetics through the prism of the literary-critical assessments of Professor R. Gromyak. The critical reception of U. Samchuk’s scholarly work is presented, the attention of the researcher to the genre of the epic novel in the artistic heritage of the talented Ukrainian prose writer of the 20th century is focused. The nature of scientific activity and the content of the works of Professor R. Gromyak, focused on the study, popularization and inclusion in the national canon of the name of the writer UlasSamchuk, the key figure of the Ukrainian «double-track» literary process of the last century, have been clarified in detail. The article highlights those considerations of Professor R. Gromyak about the creative heritage of the greatest epic of Ukrainian writing of the XX century. U. Samchuk which constitute his personal scientific contribution to the implementation of an undistorted image of the artist, contribute to the establishment of both the good name of the writer and the popularization of his work among the reading public. Having asked the question – important for both the reader and the researcher – why are the special works of professor R. Gromyak valuable, every curious person will receive an answer: it was the professor who accentuated the enduring significance of the trilogies «Volyn» and «OST» by U. Samchuk, interpreting them as the pinnacle achievements of national writing in the epic genre.
