Розвиток борошномельної промисловості на Правобережній Україні у другій половині ХІХ – на початку ХХ ст.

Abstract

У дисертаційній роботі проведено комплексне дослідження розвитку борошномельного виробництва на території Правобережної України у другій половині ХІХ – на початку ХХ ст. Здійснено аналіз наявної історіографічної бази із досліджуваної проблематики, який засвідчив, що ця сфера промисловості вивчалася лише в загальному контексті економічного розвитку українських земель у пореформений період. Є декілька праць, які торкаються окремих аспектів борошномельного виробництва у Київській, Подільській та Волинській губерніях, але, здебільшого, вони є фрагментарними та узагальненими. Наявну історіографічну базу дослідження умовно поділено на три групи: 1) праці дослідників дорадянського періоду; 2) радянська історіографія; 3) праці сучасних істориків. Встановлено, що вони відрізняються методологічними підходами, які використовувались істориками. Для праць періоду Російської імперії характерною особливістю була описовість явищ. Автори лише інколи проводили поверхневий аналіз наведених процесів та фактів. Водночас, вони заклали початок вивчення борошномельної промисловості на Правобережній Україні. Їхні праці містять надзвичайно цінний статистичний матеріал, який використано під час проведення даного дослідження. Аналіз радянської історіографії засвідчив, що дослідникам цього періоду притаманна методологічна та ідеологічна заангажованість. Вони значно перебільшували роль та місце промислових робітників для розвитку тогочасного суспільства.

The complex research of the development of flour-milling industry on the territory of Right-Bank Ukraine in the second half of the XIX – the beginning of XX century is carried out in the dissertation. An analysis of the existing historiographic base on the investigated issues was made, which certified that this sphere of industry was studied only in the general context of the economic development of Ukrainian lands in the postreform period. There are several works that touch on some aspects of flour- milling production in the Kyiv, Podillya and Volyn governorates, but for the most part, they are fragmentary and generalized. The existing historiographical base of the study is conditionally divided into three groups: 1) the work of researchers of the pre-Soviet period; 2) Soviet historiography; 3) the works of modern historians. It was found that they differ in the methodological approaches used by historians. For the works of Russian Empire period, a characteristic feature was the descriptiveness of the phenomena. The authors only occasionally conducted a superficial analysis of the presented processes and facts. At the same time, they initiated the study of the flour-milling industry in Right-Bank Ukraine. Their works contain extremely valuable statistical material that was used during research. The analysis of Soviet historiography has shown that the researchers of this period have a methodological and ideological commitment. They greatly exaggerated the role and place of industrial workers in the development of the society at that time. A new stage in the study of industrial development of Ukraine in the second half of the XIX – the beginning of XX century began with the proclamation of independence in 1991. A number of works appear that highlight little-known aspects of the economic development of Ukrainian lands in the post-reform period. There is also growing interest in the problems of flour-milling production in the territory of Right-Bank Ukraine. Articles that explore local-level milling or on the history of individual mills are published. But, despite these circumstances, the problem of flour-milling production in the territories of Kyiv, Podillya and Volyn governorates has not been the subject of a separate comprehensive historical study.
