Театрознавчі публікації Петра Медведика у тернопільській періодиці 1980-х років

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано театрознавчі публікації Петра Медведика про майстрів сцени та кіно, опубліковані в тернопільській пресі протягом 1980-х років. Закцентовано увагу на фактах та відомостях, які віднайдені в архівах та бібліотеках і доповнюють біографії театральних діячів. Уведено в науковий обіг матеріали, що були малодоступними, а то й забороненими в тогочасних умовах.

В статье проанализированы театроведческие публикации Петра Медведика об мастерах сцены и кино, помещенные в тернопольской прессе в течение 1980-х годов. Акцентировано внимание на фактах и сведениях, которые найдены в архивах и библиотеках и дополняют биографии театральных деятелей. Введено в научный оборот материалы, которые были малодоступными, а то и запрещенными в тогдашних условиях.

In the acticle analyzed theater studies publications of Petro Medvedyk about the famous masters of the stage and cinema Catherine Rubchakova, Sophia and Joseph Stadnyk’s, Les Kurbas, Eugene Shahayda and Eugene Kohanenko placed on the pages of the Ternopil periodicals during the 1980’s. Attention is paid to facts that are uncovered in the archives and complementary creative biography of actors and directors. Put into scientific circulation materials about the creative direction of theatrical figures that were inaccessible in contemporary terms. In the publication about Catherine Rubchakova drawn attention to the fact that it was a glorious Ukrainian dramatic actress and singer in the late XIX – early XX century. She had the talent to feel deeply the stage and transform into different roles. The repertoire of the actresses cover a great layer of Ukrainian classical drama. Petro Medvedyk analyzed creative figures of famous actors Sophia and Joseph Stadnyk’s. Highlighting the career of Sophia Stadnykova, author of the publication said that she was the leading actress of the theater “Rus’ka besida” and often performed leading roles in operas and operettas. She is a native of Ternopil participated in “Ternopil theatrical evenings” under the direction of Les’ Kurbas. Petro Medvedyk noted that Joseph Stadnyk made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater early twentieth century. Stadnyk’s greatest mission as an artist in the aftermath of the reunification of Western Ukraine was the organization of modern theater. He was the first director plays of the then Soviet playwrights. Details and scientifically accurate Petro Medvedyk highlighted interesting facts from the life and career of the talented master scene – Les’Kurbas. The author of publishing noted that Les’ Kurbas – is original and unique figure in theatrical life in the first half of the twentieth century. In detail revealing biography of Kurbas, the author points out that a quarter century of life and creative activity Les’ Kurbas related to Ternopil region. In particular, in the village of Old Skalat on Ternopil region held children and teenage years of future director. Les’ Kurbas was the creator of a new theater, with the new principles in the approach to staging performances. An interesting theater study publication Petro Medvedyk published about Mark Kropivnitskiy. It reveals facets of the artist in the manifestations of the writer, playwright and theatrical figure. In exploration focuses on relations of playwright with Ternopil region. In particular, an interesting exploration theater connoisseur published about Stephan Shahayda – talented actor theater and cinema, who was born in Ternopil. A lot of valuable information author of the article gives, highlighting cooperation of Stephan Shahayda with Alexander Dovzhenko, who only gained experience in cinematography and directing. In an article about Eugene Kohanenko Petro Medvedyk focuses on contribution of the artist’s to the establishment and development of Ukrainian theater, from a traveling troupe, headed by him and ending stationary theaters Kyiv, Odessa and Leningrad. Creative fate of Eugene Kohanenko was closely associated with the Kyiv Ivan Franko Drama Theatre. In his stage beside of N. Uzhviy, P. Niatko, A. Buchma, A. Ponomarenko he creates brilliant images in performances of Kotlyarevskiy, Karpenko-Kariy, Korniychuk, Shakespeare. Therefore, Petro Medvedyk publications were significant contribution to the field of theater studies. They are characterized by deep analytical thought, the ability to clearly emphasize the individuality of a particular artist, and attempts to highlight the life biography and creative achievements of individuals interested at the time of the communist regime was prohibited.
