Abstract

In the article a retrospective analysis of public activity of teachers of the Department of Geoecology and methods of teaching environmental disciplines Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, isconductedtheroleofstudentinthepubliclifeofTernopilregion, isanalyzedprospectsoffurther work of the collective. Special attention is paid to the implementation of public initiatives «School dendrarium», «Future of the forest in your hands», «The unity of generations», «Healthy food», Ukrainian-German project «Public initiative for the sake of a healthy environment in western Ukraine» and others. The work highlights the activities of the collective of the Department of Geoecology in mass media, work with students and older people.
