Розкрито зміст мемуарів, бібліографія яких налічує понад тридцять позицій. Наголошено, що сучасники створили творчий портрет видатного українського письменника та громадсько-культурного діяча, змалювали його як людину, митця й патріота.; The paper deals with memories of Bohdan Lepkyi (1872-1941) as a phenomenon of cultural heritage. It analyses the memoirs of relatives, friends and colleagues as a valuable source for studying the main periods of B. Lepkyi’s life and for researching the little-known sides of the artist’s activity. The article reveals the content of the memoirs, whose bibliography includes more than thirty items. It is emphasised that his contemporaries portrayed him as an outstanding Ukrainian writer, public and cultural figure, man, artist and patriot. Автор розглядає теоретичні підходи видатних соціологів до розуміння нагород як елемента соціальної системи та їх впливу на суспільні процеси. Перший абзац висвітлює методологічні основи дослідження, спираю- чись на ідеї Т. Парсонса щодо функціонального відношення між індивідом і суспільством. Розкривається механізм мотивації участі в соціально значущих діях через систему винагород та необхідність адекватного задоволення потреб членів суспільства для успішної соціалізації. Другий абзац аналізує концепцію Р. Мертона про вплив нагород на зміну соціальних статусів і ролей. Автор підкреслює роль нагород у соціальному змаганні як компенсаторного механізму та позитивного фактора стимулювання відповідності кожного своїй ролі в суспільстві. Третій абзац розглядає проблему соціальної нерівності у сучасних демократичних суспільствах на прикладі французької наградної системи. Аналізуються диспропорції в нагородженні представників різних соціаль- них груп та спроби їх подолання через діяльність президентів Франції. Четвертий абзац досліджує особливості наградних систем євро- пейських країн, зокрема соціальні гарантії для кавалерів у Франції та інститут почесних чиновників у Німеччині та Бельгії. Розкривається взаємозв'язок між нагородами та соціальним забезпеченням. П'ятий абзац узагальнює роль державних нагород у сучасних суспільствах як інструменту суспільного визнання та пропаганди еталонів поведінки. Автор відзначає поступове зниження мотиваційного впливу державного заохочення через зменшення матеріальних та моральних благ. Шостий абзац підсумовує трансформацію ролі державних нагород у контексті змін соціальної структури суспільства. Підкреслюється необхідність емпіричних досліджень для визначення специфіки впливу нагород на соціальний статус та мобільність у сучасному у суспільстві.; This article is devoted to the study of state awards as a social phenomenon through the prism of non-classical sociology. The author considers the theoretical approaches of prominent sociologists to understanding awards as an element of the social system and their impact on social processes. The first paragraph highlights the methodological foundations of the study, based on T. Parsons' ideas about the functional relationship between the individual and society. It reveals the mechanism of motivation to participate in socially significant activities through a system of rewards and the need to adequately satisfy the needs of members of society for successful socialisation. The second paragraph analyses R. Merton's concept of the influence of awards on changes in social status and roles. The author emphasises the role of awards in social competition as a compensatory mechanism and a positive factor in encouraging everyone to fulfil their role in society. The third paragraph examines the problem of social inequality in modern democratic societies using the example of the French reward system. It analyses the disparities in the awarding of representatives of different social groups and attempts to overcome them through the activities of French presidents. The fourth paragraph explores the peculiarities of award systems in European countries, in particular social guarantees for knights in France and the institution of honorary officials in Germany and Belgium. The relationship between awards and social security is revealed. The fifth paragraph summarises the role of state awards in modern societies as an instrument of social recognition and promotion of behavioural standards. The author notes a gradual decline in the motivational impact of state incentives due to a reduction in material and moral benefits. The sixth paragraph summarises the transformation of the role of state awards in the context of changes in the social structure of society. The need for empirical research to determine the specific impact of awards on social status and mobility in contemporary Russian society is emphasised.
